Fine Art Giclée Prints by Raleigh Design

Our Giclée services custom tailored to you, the artist. Extensive proofing and a wide selection of fine art papers are available to our clients. We custom order special papers as required and use the latest Epson archival print technologies. Our setup prices are very reasonable and satisfaction is guaranteed. Anyone can buy and run an archival inkjet printer. The challenge is in color balancing the giclee print to the original artwork. Nobody does this better than Raleigh Design.

Giclée process and associated costs

The entire process from photography/scanning to finished print generally takes 3 days. In all cases the original artwork is required for giclée production.

1. Photographing or scanning artwork

As needed, a photograph of the original artwork can be made. I can work from high resolution digital files provided by the artist.
Scans of artwork 8.5" x 14" or smaller. $8.00 each

2. Giclée setup

Color balancing and proofing of giclée prints as compared to original art. Artist is usually consulted at least 2 times during this process to approve color match and direct as needed.

$100 per piece includes all proofing

3. Printing
Printing of the final giclée is done on archival rag or equivalent acid free fine art papers made for my printer (Epson 7890). Special requests for specific papers can be accommodated by mutual agreement.

The following papers are generally stocked in roll sizes and smaller sheets:
Arches Infinity rag, smooth surface (or equivalent, arches is now sold under the Canson brand)
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, slightly textured
Somerset Velvet Fine Art rag, lightly textured watercolor-like paper
Epson Ultra Premium Matte
Epson Ultra Premium Luster

Individual prints up to 23.5" by 8' can be produced.
